Building management is placing increasingly complex demands on control systems: fast data processing, expandability, localized visualization, and security. iSMA CONTROLLI has developed its latest Master Application Controller, the MAC36PRO, to meet this challenge!

The MAC36PRO is a high-tech member of the iSMA CONTROLLI Master Application Controller family, designed specifically for the automation of small and medium-sized buildings. Tailored for smart building automation, this device combines I/O, visualization, integration, and energy efficiency in a single compact unit.
Types of iSMA-B-MAC36PRO controllers

Why is the MAC36PRO the best choice?
Because it has everything built in.
1. Hardware performance you can count on
Quad-core 1.6 GHz processor
2 GB RAM and 64-bit iSMA OS (Linux)
8 GB industrial microSD storage
The system ensures fast processing, parallel operation, and reliable data storage.
2. Expandability and scalability

Two RS485 ports enable easy expansion of the 36 I/Os, allowing additional I/O modules or field devices to be connected.
iSMA CONTROLLI offers a wide range of BACnet- and Modbus-compatible I/O modules that perfectly extend the controller.
M-Bus integration allows direct connection to energy, gas, or water meters, further enhancing building management efficiency.
3. Cybersecurity and network connectivity

Two independent Ethernet ports → Full physical separation between IT and OT networks
TLS/SSL encrypted communication → Compliant with ISA/IEC 62443 industrial standard
Modern protocol support → MQTT, Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP, SNMP, and other industry standards
Cloud integration and analytics → Easy connection to cloud-based platforms
4. Future-proof and cost-effective solution
The MAC36PRO is ideal for multi-site projects (e.g., retail chains, schools, charging stations) where scalability, energy efficiency, and low operational cost are essential.
5. Local visualization and HMI compatibility

The iSMA-B-MAC36PRO features a built-in HDMI port (HDMI Type A), allowing direct connection to an external display or HMI panel.
Through the HDMI connection, the controller’s web visualization (PX pages) can be displayed directly—without the need for a PC.
Important: HDMI-based display works only with an HTTP connection, so the Http Enabled switch must be enabled in the WebService. The iSMA_HDMI module is not required for using the MAC36PRO—unless you want to modify HDMI settings.

For optimal performance of the visualization on the HMI, it is recommended to use a maximum of 15–20 graphical widgets and a few low-resolution animations. The MAC36PRO supports a resolution of 1280×720 px, and automatic login can be configured on the HMI for recovery after a power outage.
6. Niagara Framework – the engine behind the controller
The Niagara platform offers scalability, customization, and integration flexibility—combined with industrial-grade cybersecurity compliance. This makes the MAC36PRO not only a technologically advanced choice, but also a sustainable long-term solution.
