The wait is over – the Niagara Framework® 4.15u1 General Availability (GA) release is now officially available!

This release not only introduces a wide range of new features and enhancements but also includes fixes for previously reported security vulnerabilities.

🔁 New Long-Term Support (LTS) - Farewell to 4.10

Niagara 4.15 is now the officially supported Long-Term Support (LTS) version, replacing the previous 4.10 release. Tridium remains committed to continuous quality improvement, and regular updates are expected throughout the full support period for version 4.15.

🏢 Optimized for projects of all sizes

Niagara software is designed to help our customers succeed in smart building and IoT projects—whether they're managing large enterprise deployments or single-facility operations. Version 4.15 introduces improvements across key areas:

1. Platform Enhancements (HTML5 Web-Based Development)

HTML5 PX Editor: Full UI design now possible from the browser—no Workbench needed. A major step forward in user experience. (Pages 9–10)
HTML5 Relation Manager: Define relationships directly from the browser, without dedicated software. (Pages 11–12)

2. Compatibility & Protocol Updates

Updates for Modbus, OPC-UA, SNMP, BACnet – enabling broader interoperability across industrial and IT systems. (Pages 19–22)
BACnet Revision 18 support: new object types, better visibility, write source tracking. (Page 22)

3. Connectivity & Mobility

Fox over WebSocket: Ensures connectivity even when ports 1911/4911 are blocked—important for enterprise IT environments. (Page 28)
WiFi support for JACE 9000: Easier installation, reduced cabling. (Pages 13–14)

4. Niagara Access – Integrated Access Control

Unified building management and access control in one platform (Niagara Access), including native card printing. (Pages 15–17)
Support for OSDP & Wiegand protocols, TCP/IP controllers, and multi-vendor integration. (Pages 24–26)

5. Cybersecurity Enhancements

CAC/PKI-based login, ideal for government and secure environments
User login history, hashed passwords in the bog file – for enhanced protection. (Pages 31–33)

6. Update Cycle & Future-Proofing

The diagram on page 36 shows version 4.15 is supported until Q4 2028, allowing customers to plan with confidence.
